This is the sink and mirror we are getting from Home Decorator's Collection for the downstairs bathroom. It's the Kyoto Collection. The room has been gutted and we tore down a wall and rebuilt it. I will post those pics later.

Curtain dilemma
Looking for curtain rods seems like it would be an easy task but not so much. I've checked in the obvious places with very little luck. With our very wide front windows we need a rod that extends to 144". This leaves us very limited options without paying custom prices. BJ found these at lowes. They work for what we need but as a double curtain rod they stick out pretty far which blocks our built in bookshelves. If I go with the single rod the curtains will not fill all the space to close and give us privacy. If we go with the double I can put sheers on the back rod to fill the middle space. The alternative is to find curtain rods that are smaller than 1" in diameter and therefore won't stick out as far but won't look as good. Hmmm.

Pattern inspiration
This is the groovy pattern that inspired my living room decor. It's by Rowe. I got the chair and ottoman at Home Decorators Collection outlet. Then I was able to find curtains that match the blue perfectly at Cost Plus World Market. Our living room is very bland and the splash of blue on the windows should be the needed touch of color.

Basement floor option #1
Dining area cabinets
After many long hours I finally unpacked and organized my glassware and lovely Vera Wang China. It only took a year :) Unfortunately when we unpacked the glass for the cabinets we discovered that one of the glass doors was broken. We are working on getting a replacement.

Let there be light :)
This is a quick post to show the new lighting and glass we have in our dining area cabinets. It took a long time to decide on lighting options because of cost and other factors. We opted for some inexpensive lights from Menards and are happy overall with the look. Especially happy having paid $200 instead of $1500!
